Today is Wednesday, and the Western statistics company Media Create introduced its software and hardware graphs depicting the position of the local market each week.
Here you can have a look at the software chart for the period between July 30th and August 5th. As usual, the second number for each game reflects life sales.
– Switch – 21,642/119,891
Below you can find the hardware graph:
One of the most intriguing elements of the week’s graph is that two 3DS games, Etrian Odyssey X along with WarioWare Gold have been at first and third location. Seems like the 3DS is much dead in Japan. It still makes solid amounts hardware-wise. Considering that it’s only shy of 24.15 million units offered, that’s really surprising.
This ’s quite funny considering that some think that releasing 3DS games today is “such a waste. ” Maybe it’s actually isn’t.
Besides that, the week was fairly silent, without big releases and also Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum’n’ Fun! (that we recently discovered will come west November) continuing to do solid sales thanks to its summer break, which is just a perfect match for this type of game.
