Two 3DS Games Are in the Top-Three of Last Week’s Media Create Charts

Today is Wednesday, and the Western statistics company Media Create introduced its software and hardware graphs depicting the position of the local market each week.

Here you can have a look at the software chart for the period between July 30th and August 5th. As usual, the second number for each game reflects life sales.

    One of the most intriguing elements of the week’s graph is that two 3DS games, Etrian Odyssey X along with  WarioWare Gold have been at first and third location. Seems like the 3DS is much dead in Japan. It still makes solid amounts hardware-wise. Considering that it’s only shy of 24.15 million units offered, that’s really surprising.

    This ’s quite funny considering that some think that releasing 3DS games today is “such a waste. ” Maybe it’s actually isn’t.

    Besides that, the week was fairly silent, without big releases and also Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum’n’ Fun!  (that we recently discovered will come west November) continuing to do solid sales thanks to its summer break, which is just a perfect match for this type of game.
