DualShockers got the game early for review, and catch the very first hour of This is the Police 2, which introduces significant characters like Lilly Reed and Warren Nash and puts up the glum tone for the rest of the game.
This is the Police 2 starts with the sheriff of Sharpwood, a small and cold Fargo-esque city, investigating a gang in one of this name ’s XCOM motivated strategy game sections. Regrettably, that doesn’t work out too well for him, resulting in his departure. This induces Lilly Reed, a scrappy young officer, to eventually become Sharpwood’s Sheriff, however she’s running into problems handling the force because of their sexism and incompetency.
While investigating a case, an older guy Warren Nash is attracted into the channel. He turns out to Jack Boyd, on the run from the feds after the events of the first This is the Police. He eventually strikes a bargain with Lilly that will help her handle and operate Sharpwood’s Police Department stability (though occasionally scummy), and it is where the game starts to hit its stride during its very first hour.
