During today’s variant of Inside Xbox members of the group in Holospark, the programmers of this upcoming multiplayer shooter Earthfall, showed some details on content forthcoming post-launch.
When talking to Xbox’s Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb, Holospark’s Senior Community Manager Collin Moore said that content that’ll be coming to Earthfall later it releases will be made available at no cost. This includes all new levels, game modes, and other added information that Holospark will slowly begin rolling out once the game has launched.
Moore went on to state Earthfall will offer paid cosmetic items in-game that will cost real money however he and the group in Holospark desired to ensure that if you and your pals buy Earthfall upon launch afterward you’ll be able to all keep playing for the life of the game. This is a strategy that many different publishers of multiplayer shooters have been using within the past year or 2 as it’s become more important to them to keep their player base jointly rather than dividing it up.
This information is excellent timing for Holospark since it comes just a few days before Earthfall is scheduled to launch. Should you’re interested in hearing our initial ideas on Earthfall, be sure to check out our trailer from earlier this season at PAX East.
