From its original launch in 2013, The Last of Us already had many claiming it had been an instant classic thanks to its extraordinary sense of storytelling and gritty, impactful gameplay, and now five years following its release, Naughty Dog has shown it’s had quite the sales success in the decades since.
On the studio’s official Twitter accounts, Naughty Dog disclosed the April 2018, The Last of Us has sold over 17 million copies worldwide since its introduction at 2013, which (probably ) includes sales accounting for the original PS3 name and The Last of Us Remastered, that surfaced PS4 the year after.
Considering that the game’s remarkable achievement so far, it’s no surprise we’re about to observe a follow up to the game at the form of The Last of Us Part II, which watched an extensive new demo at E3 2018 including gameplay, and tons of new information regarding the upcoming game are revealed by this studio.
More than 17 million of you have taken this journey together and your love, support, and fandom for those characters and their story has already become phenomenal. We could ’t wait to continue it using Section II. pic.twitter.com/dES9bBDa4W
