You may not have expected to see a game at which it is possible to play with a shark at this years E3, but Maneater desired to change this. Produced by Blindside Studios and in collaboration with Tripwire Interactive, the name got an announcement trailer that you may watch below along with a few screenshots.
Maneater is an open world action name that’s also a single player only encounter. It hosts RPG elements and enables players to float round the sea from the southern US Gulf Coast while battling other creatures, people and other creatures of the deep waters. As a shark having full freedom to go where you want you may get into the rivers and streams, or simply hang around at the open waters.
There’s a story behind the game before you start to think of this as some sort of pleasure sandbox. The fishy protagonist –a giant bull sharkis following revenge against a human being that killed its mom and left it for dead after having been cut out in the mothers body. By enabling the bitter shark to feed on anything players can evolve specific body parts to enhance how those parts function. There’s many different stat driven systems set up too that lets you customize the shark to fit your play style.
Maneater aims to induce the feeling of playing as a shark to new heights seemingly and was swimming around back in 2017 as an early access trailer landed on the official YouTube channel. Tripwire Interactive already declared Treacherous Skies, ” the Summer Sideshow event for Killing Floor two at E3 2018. Blindside Studios are the team supporting Depth that was a multiplayer title that featured sharks.
Maneater is due for PC and can launch into Early accessibility but no launch date was shown other than “coming soon”.
