In reaction to negative comments, the developer retracted their announcement and revealed that both Blake Belladonna and Yang Xiao Long would be available at no cost. In the end, the cause for concern was that fans thought they weren’t getting a complete game at launch.
DualShockers had the opportunity to sit down with SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy manufacturer Yasuyuki Oda and programmer Kaito Soranaka to ask how the staff in SNK would approach DLC characters statements for their forthcoming fighting game. Soranaka-san’s answer indicated they’re learning from BlazBlue‘s errors.
“Considering BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle received bad feedback about how they declared their roster and DLC characters, we actually need to think about how we will approach future announcements. ”
NISA Senior Product Marketing Manager Travis Shrodes added there aren’t any DLC announcements at this time, as a follow up to this question, but they do intend to launch a “complete game” at launch on disk and cartridge.
